Here are a few quick reminders to help keep recycling working for everyone:
✅ YES
🥫 Metal food & beverage cans (empty & rinsed)
🧴 Plastic bottles, jugs, jars & tubs (empty & replace caps)
🍾 Glass bottles & jars (empty & rinsed)
📦 Paper, newspapers, magazines & flattened cardboard
❌ NO
🚫 Plastic bags (even clear ones)
👕 Clothing or linens
🔋 Batteries, propane tanks or hazardous materials
🔌 Hoses, wires, cords or other "tanglers"
🍕 Food or liquids in containers
One of the biggest mistakes we see:
👉 Do NOT bag your recyclables. Place everything loose in your recycling cart. Plastic bags can interfere with the recycling process and are not accepted in curbside recycling.
Every correctly recycled item helps reduce contamination, keeps costs down, and supports a cleaner community.

Thank you for choosing Pioneer Valley Waste Solutions for your trash & recycling services. We truly appreciate the support our customers and communities have shown us over the past 2+ years.
As many businesses continue to experience increases in fuel, disposal, equipment, maintenance, insurance, and labor costs, we will be implementing updated service pricing moving forward. This is the first pricing adjustment we have made since starting our business, and it was not a decision made lightly.
Updated Monthly Pricing:
🗑 Weekly Trash ONLY Service: $30 → $42/month
♻️ Weekly Trash & Bi-weekly Recycling Service: $38 → $48/month
To help offset some of these increases for our customers, we are also:
✅ Increasing our annual prepay discount from $50 to $60 per year
✅ Continuing to offer trash customers a $0.10 per gallon discount on heating oil & propane deliveries through Pioneer Valley Oil & Propane
Even with these changes, we remain committed to providing:
✅ Dependable pickup service
✅ Friendly local customer support
✅ Safe & reliable equipment
✅ Continued investment in our community

⭐ Memorial Day Schedule Update ⭐
In observance of Memorial Day, our offices will be closed Monday, May 25, with no trash pickup scheduled that day. 🚛♻️
All pickups will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.
As we enjoy the holiday weekend, we pause to honor and remember those who served and sacrificed for our country.
